October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research.
The Progressive Women’s Association (PWA) is a group of women focused on supporting one another in their day-to-day lives. Every year these women come together to host an annual breast cancer awareness and fundraising event, The Pink Ribbon Gala: an evening of heartfelt testimonials from survivors, caregivers and individuals who have been impacted by breast cancer. The evening usually includes superb entertainment, dinner, live music and dancing. PWA also takes part in breast cancer awareness activities in the Toronto region.
Donations raised through this event go towards helping women in need fight breast cancer with confidence and security.
